Soon the whole mountain will turn to autumn colors

The highlights are the 400-year-old large maple tree designated as a natural monument by the prefecture and the more than 200 maple trees that color the heart-shaped garden created by Muromachi.

The 500 stone Rakan statues lined up on the slopes of the mountain are also spectacular, and the various statues that have been preserved for 1,000 years are worth seeing.

The wooden statue of the 11-faced, 1,000-armed, 1000-armed Kannon (463.6cm high, Kamakura period), which is the main object of worship, is designated as a national important cultural property.
