The 35th Yatsushiro National Fireworks Competition (Kumamoto Prefecture)
Kyushu…and fireworks fans all over the country have been waiting!
This is the only national fireworks competition in western Japan where 30 famous pyrotechnicians from all over Japan, from Akita in the north to Kagoshima in the south will compete with each other.
The audience seats set up parallel to the large launch site on the riverbed of the Kuma River are among the highest in Japan.
